Statement Pieces
Light Comes In is an original abstract painting by Lindsey Tyson, created with ink on wood panel.
Minimal and atmospheric, the painting explores balance, space and restraint through subtle tonal shifts and layered linear marks. A quiet horizon-like structure runs through the composition, interrupted by small dark forms and flashes of warm colour that suggest movement, distance and changing light.
The natural wood grain remains visible beneath the ink, becoming an integral part of the composition. Areas of exposed surface bring warmth, texture and quiet rhythm to the work, while allowing the ink to bleed and soften organically across the panel.

Gap in the Wind is an original abstract landscape painting inspired by shifting light, atmosphere and the feeling of open space. Built through layers of encaustic wax and mixed media on wood, the surface holds traces of movement, erosion and weathered textures.
Soft veils of pale blue and grey drift across darker grounded forms, creating a sense of stillness and depth. The longer you look, the more subtle details and hidden marks begin to emerge.

91 × 91 × 5cm
A dark and atmospheric original painting built through layered surface, scratched marks and shifting tones. Inspired by landscape, weather and light, the work balances deep shadow with a quiet luminous centre emerging through the darkness.
Painted on a deep wooden panel with black-painted edges, the piece is ready to hang.
Dark flowing ink forms move across the wood surface like shifting weather, shadow or reflection, contrasted by a large area of exposed pale grain. The composition balances weight and openness, with subtle linear marks and translucent layers creating a quiet sense of depth and movement.
The natural wood surface plays an important role within the work, allowing the ink to bleed, soften and settle organically into the grain. Minimal and atmospheric, the painting explores light, tension and space through restraint rather than detail.

Essence is a small collection of original abstract encaustic paintings, available individually as numbered variations. Built through layers of encaustic wax and mixed media on chunky wood blocks, each piece explores atmosphere, surface and shifting light through a pared-back visual language.
Though modest in scale, these works have a strong physical presence. Soft veils of colour, weathered textures and subtle marks create paintings that feel both quiet and deeply atmospheric. Each block holds its own character while remaining connected through palette, material and mood.
